If the Off-Campus Boys Bought Houses in Rancho Cucamonga…
If you’ve read the Off-Campus series, you already know the vibe.
Hockey boys.
Big personalities.
Found family energy.
The house everyone somehow ends up at.
A little chaos.
A lot of banter.
And the kind of home that basically becomes a main character.
So naturally, as a Realtor and a book girlie, I had to ask myself…
If Garrett, Dean, Logan, and Tucker were house hunting in real life… what kind of homes would they choose?
And honestly? I have thoughts.
This is just for fun, but if you’re someone who reads romance novels and also casually scrolls Zillow at night, this one is for you.
The Garrett House
Garrett’s house would be clean, classic, and effortlessly cool.
Nothing too flashy, but definitely impressive. Think open kitchen, great natural light, a comfortable living room where everyone ends up hanging out, and enough space to host without it feeling like a full-blown party house.
It would be the kind of home where people feel comfortable the second they walk in.
Garrett would say he doesn’t care about the details, but you know he would absolutely notice if the layout was functional, the kitchen had good counter space, and the backyard was perfect for having people over after a game.
The Garrett House would have:
• An open-concept kitchen and living area
• A big island for everyone to gather around
• A clean, timeless style
• A backyard made for casual hangouts
• A neighborhood that feels established and comfortable
Basically, it’s giving responsible captain energy… but still fun.
The Dean House
Dean’s house would be the one everyone talks about.
This is the house with the pool, the game room, the oversized living spaces, and probably some kind of dramatic staircase or bar area that makes you immediately think, “Oh, he would live here.”
It’s not subtle. It’s not quiet. And it definitely has “everyone is coming over tonight” energy.
Dean would want a house that feels like a good time before you even unpack the boxes.
The Dean House would have:
• A pool or spa
• A big backyard for entertaining
• A bonus room, loft, or game room
• Space for friends to crash
• A layout that makes hosting easy
This is the one that gives Hockey house meets grown-up money.
A little chaotic? Yes.
Would everyone want to hang out there? Also yes.
The Logan House
Logan’s house would have a little more edge.
Not necessarily the biggest house, but definitely one with a cool layout, a great primary suite, and maybe a moody office, gym space, or bonus room that feels a little more private.
He would care about the vibe more than he’d admit.
I picture something with character. Maybe mountain views, darker finishes, a great fireplace, or a layout that feels a little less cookie-cutter.
The Logan House would have:
• A private primary suite
• A cool bonus space or home gym
• A slightly moodier design style
• A great view or unique feature
• Enough space to be social, but also disappear when needed
This house would be the one that doesn’t scream for attention, but somehow everyone is obsessed with it.
Very Logan.
The Tucker House
Tucker’s house would be the sleeper hit.
At first glance, it might not be the flashiest one on the list, but once you walk in, you realize it just makes sense.
Warm, functional, comfortable, and probably the one with the best kitchen.
Tucker would absolutely care about things like storage, layout, parking, and whether the house actually works for everyday life. He would be the one asking the smart questions during the showing while everyone else is distracted by the pool.
The Tucker House would have:
• A cozy but functional layout
• A great kitchen
• Good storage
• A comfortable backyard
• Practical upgrades that make life easier
This is the house that feels like home.
Not just cute for photos. Not just fun for hosting. Actually livable.
And honestly? That might make it the best one.
The Team House
Then, of course, there’s the house.
The one that gives full Off-Campus energy.
Big bedrooms. Big living room. Lots of parking. A backyard that could handle a crowd. Maybe a pool. Maybe a bonus room. Definitely a house where everyone somehow ends up whether they were invited or not.
This is the one that feels like it belongs in a hockey romance.
Not because it’s perfect, but because it has that “main character house” feeling.
The Hockey House would have:
• Multiple bedrooms
• Large common areas
• A big backyard
• Room for entertaining
• Plenty of parking
• A layout that works for a group
It’s giving game day, late-night pizza, friends piled on the couch, and at least one person dramatically walking out the front door mid-argument.
In other words… perfect.
Why This Is Actually a Real Estate Thing
Okay, yes, this is mostly for fun.
But here’s the thing: the homes we’re drawn to usually say a lot about the lifestyle we want.
Some people want the entertaining house.
Some want the cozy house.
Some want the forever home with space to grow.
Some want the house where everyone gathers.
Some want the quiet retreat.
Some want the big backyard, the pool, the mountain views, the upgraded kitchen, or the neighborhood that just feels right.
That’s why house hunting is never just about bedrooms and bathrooms.
It’s about how you want to live.
It’s about who you are in this season of life.
If you want me to make you your own “book boyfriend home” list based on your favorite series, I would absolutely love that.
Because finding the right house should feel exciting, personal, and maybe even a little fun.- Lauren
